President - Carol Louise BellYear Group – 2nd
I am a vintage student here at the vet school. I was Vice President of the Anatomy Society 21/22 and then President last year and enjoyed it that much applied again for this year. 😊 Learning Anatomy can be daunting at first, but the society aims to help ease that by making it fun to do. Prior to Vet School and still to this day I've been working as a registered pharmacy technician within the NHS and ten years ago decided I wanted a change and do something I wanted to do when I was younger - fast forward a few years and here I am. In my spare time I used to travel the UK with my two dogs shown in the photo above (Sapphire & Cobalt RIP 2022/2019) promoting responsible dog ownership and raising awareness of breed specific legislation an archaic law that “types” dogs based on their appearance and not on anything they've done. For this work we received a Dog Today magazine medal presented at London Pet Show alongside the likes of Street Cat Bob (honorary dog), and Dog Lost founder Jayne Hayes. I am on the lookout for students to help on the committee this year if you feel you would like to get involved and have questions on what roles are available, please email the society email below and keep an eye on the Facebook groups. Hope to see you at the events this year 😊 |
