What is AVS?
AVS is a student run organisation which sets out to support and represent the vet student community of the UK and Ireland. Each vet school have their own representatives who come together to improve education, student life and welfare within university life. AVS representatives from each university attend tri-annual meetings where they discuss current issues within veterinary education, as well as the wider profession, acting as a bridge between students and veterinary professionals. We also host the famous and very well anticipated AVS Sports Weekend, where one vet school hosts the rest of us for a weekend of sports and partying!
This year AVS Sports Weekend will be held by Glasgow from the 1-3rd of November and the AVS Congress will be hosted by Cambridge from the 7th to 9th of February.
